(Miami, FL) -- Florida is reporting its biggest one-day spike in COVID-19 infections.
The CDC says Florida reported over 21,600 cases on Saturday. That's a 12% jump over the previous record in January, which was Florida's worst month during the pandemic.
The Miami Herald says the last half of July looks like the start of Florida's third COVID-19 peak. The report says based on data from the CDC, Florida accounts for over 21-percent of the country's new COVID cases. Florida also reported 108 COVID-related deaths on Saturday.
